Hurricane Real Estate
Located a short 20 miles from St. George, Hurricane is a small town that offers a lot of charm. Every year, the town celebrates Peach Days over Labor Day Weekend, a city-wide 4th of July celebration, a Festival of Trees Home Tour in December, and a half marathon. Contrary to its name, Hurricane's weather is similar to that of the surrounding area. Most days are sunny, dry, and warm and are perfect for outdoor activities. Hurricane derived its name from Erastus Snow, who was returning from St. George and had just descended into a valley when a vicious whirlwind blew up. He remarked to his fellow travelers that it was just like a hurricane. Hence, it was named Hurricane Hill, now known simply as Hurricane. Luckily, the winds aren't from true hurricanes, and most residents find the weather to be quite pleasant. The weather is nice, but so is the scenery. Many retirees and winter visitors call Hurricane home and the town is quickly becoming a suburb of St. George. If you aren't keen on living in a large city such as St. George, but still want access to all the city's amenities, Hurricane may be just the right size for you. Do you want all that St. George has to offer, but still want a small town atmosphere? Call me today and we'll find a home for you. I'll work with you one-on-one to provide you with all the information you will need as you go through the home buying process. And one thing is for certain--you will find a home that fits your needs.
